Time

Boy does time fly!! I have been sitting here wondering where the year has gone and have realized I missed posting some shoots. :-S I know...shame on me, but here are the last few. Jeannine and I did work in the studio a week before Christmas Eve, and Sami the next day and then that friday I shot with Teddy's family. I will post a few pics of the shoots.

Marika

Today I shot Marika and her daughter Aubree for their Christmas pictures. It was fun and cold. Pictures to come shortly.

This week has been crazy!!

This week has been crazy. I shot Santa's arrival at Jordan Landing last saturday and got those pictures up and on here. Then last night got secured in a studio, so now I have a studio to shoot in. More details to come.

Updates

I finally updated my slideshow and my porfolio on my website. I am also in the process of adding the "Tips" section of my page. Woo hoo!!! There is now a comprehensive collection of pictures in the porfolio and also the slideshow.

So I haven't been able to get on here and post up what has been happening. I went to the Utah Strobist meet-up today. It was a blast. We worked with the Photographer Diskomethod (David) and some of the different uses and looks with lighting. Pictures to come


I also did a shoot with Haley on Thursday! It was awsome.

Cute Couple

Last Friday I went out to the University of Utah and I had a shoot with a cute couple. They wish to keep their name anonymous, but they were so cute together!! Here are some pictures.

Tiffany

Today I shot a short shoot with my friend Tiffany. It was a wonderful shoot. She is easy to work with and was a trooper because of the cold. Pictures to come

Roller Skate Shoot

I had a shoot today with Haley and Veronica. It was a wonderful shoot. We ended up heading to classic skating and did a rollerskate shoot there. Pictures to come.

Pedro

Yesterday I went and shot with Pedro. He is cutting his dreads this weekend and wanted to get a shoot done before he cut them. It was a fun shoot at the U. He did some Capoeira, we had some people stopping and watching him. It was a blast!! He is easy going and good to work with.

EBS Cemetery Shoot

Last Wednesday we had the annual EBS Cemetery shoot. This was the first one that I attended. It was alot of fun and time flew!! I will post pictures soon.

Family

Last evening I went with my parents and my sister and brother-in-law and two nieces up to Silver Lake, and we did some pictures. Pictures to come.

Old Greek Town

Saturday night we had a Utah Photowalk in downtown SLC. It was good and I got to look at and test a few camera's. After the photowalk I signed up for twitter. Follow me there at twitter.com/josheades.

Colton

Today I went and shot my friend and local Director Colton. It was a fun shoot. I haven't worked with him in several years and we got together to do this shoot and discuss future projects. He is hillarious and had me rolling with laughter alot.

Temple pictures

So I have decided I want to take pictures of different temples, and saturday I took the last one that is in the SLC valley at this point. It is the Oquirrh Mountain temple. I will be adding a section of buildings and temples on my website.

First Snow Fall

Yesterday I went up Big Cottonwood Canyon because of the first snowfall that happened on teusday. I was surprised because there was about 4 or 5 inches of snow still up there 2 days after the storm.

Lyndee

I have been working with my friends Justin and Lyndee. Justin is just starting out in photography and Lyndee is just starting out modeling. I have some of the pictures from the coaching sessions I have done with them.

Mt. Timpanogas

Today me and a group of friends decided to hike Mt. Timpinogas here in Utah and watch the sunrise. I haven't decided if it was a mistake or a fun time. :-D We made good time until we hit the "Bowl". It only took us about 1:30 min - 2 hours for us to get to the bowl, then it took us 3 hours after that to get to the summit. Part of the reason it took so long was the biting cold. When we hit the bowl, the wind was howling over the peak and started sapping strength. Another reason was the fact I hadn't slept since 7am yesterday. There were some minor injuries like pulled muscles, but we made it. All 40+MPH winds and everything. I will be adding some pictures to the blog when I get them edited.

Jamie Lynn

Today I went and shot with Jamie Lynn. It was a wonderful shoot. Jamie Lynn is now a member of the T.O.Y.S. She is new to modeling, but she is extremely beautiful and she was a pro!! It was wonderful shooting with her. She brought security with her, and like I do with so many of the people that come with the model, I used him in the shoot. :-D Here are some of the pictures from the shoot.

Tour of Utah stage 4

Last Saturday, I led off the TOU stage 4. It started up at Park City and then to Midway, sundance, alpine loop, Suncrest, then ended up Little Cottonwood Canyon. More to come

Tour of Utah (Stage 2)

Today I went to the Tour of Utah, stage 2 of 5. It was awesome!!! It started at Thanksgiving Point and went down the west side of Utah Lake then headed up Mt. Nebo loop to just past the summit (9320 ft). This was my first time actually shooting a bicycle race, and boy was it fun, although some of the riders and teams have big egos. :-D When I first showed up I thought it was just a local race, but I found out rather quickly that it was a national/international race. Within being there for 10 minutes, I had heard some English, Spanish, Portuguese. Also while we were at the finishline they were stating that Lance Armstrong had taken notice of the race, so maybe next year he will be there. :-D The winner of this stage is a South African who now lives in good old SLC, Utah. Second place was a gentleman from Spain and 3rd I think was also from SLC.



This gentleman got the jersey for best/youngest rider!

Aryan

Today I had a shoot with Aryan. It was a great shoot! She brought her husband Kevin along...Little did he know that he was going to be a model and to help her out.






I shot a few shots of Aryan before at Brit's shoot and this shoot was just hers. We did most of it up at capitol hill....until the cops kicked us out. Check out the great pictures!!

Marjaan

Today I had a fun shoot with Marjaan! This was an extremely fun shoot. We started out at this cool park that had a "sound" dome... (It is a dome that sounds are amplified). Then we went to another park down in Draper. I ended up taking her around the park, climbing on the toys, laying down in the sprinklers, and even trying to push a football sled. :-D We then went to the Equestrian location by Corner canyon in draper and finished up the shoot down there.

Steph

Teusday I had a shoot with Steph. I didn't know at the time I scheduled the shoot that she was one of my co-workers friends, but I ended up finding out the night before the shoot. It was a great shoot. She was laying in the wet grass, swinging on a swing, and she even takled her friend that she brought......All in the name of great photos!!

Aleesha W

Monday I had the oportunity to shoot a model named Aleesha.



She is a great model to shoot! I gave her ideas, and she posed herself and even was willing to get down in the dirt or hike in the mtns.
